Travelling George - Episode 2 - by Frankie

In September we circulated a note to Frankie’s old class, J2.4, who had very kindly given him a St George’s Bear as a travel companion.  Frankie named him Travelling George.

Frankie now picks up the trail on Travelling George’s progress..........(select "Read more" below to continue)

Ilha do Mel, Brazil.  This is George with Whiskey, a lovely little blind
dog that could do lots of amazing tricks like balancing on his tennis ball.
He barked like mad whenever you sneezed!
Ubatuba, Brazil; George is a very good table tennis player, and I taught him all my skills and he is very good at learning.  Now he’s just as good as me.
Galapagos fish market:  George had a feast when we got back to our home because we bought some nice fish at the fisherman’s place in Pelican Bay.
Galapagos, Isabela Ecuador; There was a lovely lady called Patricia who ran our hostel on Isla Isabela, the quietest of the three main islands.  It was right on the beach and you could see the birds diving in the water while you had breakfast!
Buenos Aires - Casa Esmerelda, with Mora
George says “I hope Mora doesn’t eat me!” Mora was a big friendly dog.  When I first got in I saw a big black dog and I thought he was a stray dog but when I got closer I realised he belonged to the hostal.
Montevideo, Uruguay. This is the first time we had joined the toys together without Lemmie, because Louis had lost him on the bumper cars earlier in the day.
Cabo Polonio hammock flinging:
That wasn’t my record of Louis flinging me although it looks quite far.  And actually with Louis flinging me it wasn’t scary at all, because you landed in the soft sand.  George says "Wheeeeeeeee!"
Punta Diablo with dogs chasing cars
The dog on the right is Novio, and he is about the fastest dog I can think of.  When we go out in the car from the hostel he is just as fast as we are, and he runs with us all the way. We always think he’s going to die when he goes just in front of the car especially around corners, but he knows the way the car will go.

We were in the brilliant estancia with lovely little kitties.  One kitten, Blackie, accidentally scratched
George a little bit when they were playing, but they were OK afterwards.
Puerto Madryn, Argentina. We saw this Southern Right Whale in real life but she was about 12 metres longer than this one!   Lucky George wasn't with us in the boat,  he would have been scared that the huge whale might have eaten him!
El Chalten, Argentina.  Santiago is a lovely man who had a really nice cabin for us and George might have got a little prick on the bottom in this photo because of the Christmas tree!
We were surprised that we were in Anita's house because that's the name of our Auntie!

I hope you enjoyed my show.  In a few months time I'll do another one once George has been to a few more places!
